Nature Society Photo Contest

The Nature Society is sponsoring a Photo Contest that will run through August 31, 2008.

The categories include:

  1. Purple martins on, in, and around Nature House martin houses—specifically PMC-24, TM-12, MSS-12, MSS-8, M-12K, DH-12N, and DR-12N houses.
  2. Up-close-and-personal photos of purple martins...in flight, perched, feeding young, gathering or carrying nesting material, preening, etc.
  3. An overview, or the layout of your colony site. Photos in this category would want to show the relationship of your colony site with any and all types of martin housing to trees, buildings, flower gardens, shrubbery, etc.
  4. WildCard! This category allows the phtographer to choose just the "right" purple martin photo to enter in the competition. Any photo that doesn't fit any of the first three categories.
